Miss Spencer - Assistant Head Teacher, EYFS Lead and Robins' Teacher

I am the teacher in Robins, I feel very lucky to get to spend every day with the children during their first year at ‘school’. I am passionate about children feeling safe and secure and believe that when children feel happy they will flourish.

After finishing school I completed a Level 3 Early Years course before going on to study my Foundation Degree in Early Years and BA HONS whilst working full time in a Primary School. I then completed my GTP based in schools, teaching EYFS, Yr1 and Yr2. I have taught children in EYFS and Yr1.

In my spare time, any teacher will tell you how rare that is, I enjoy going to the cinema, I am a sucker for a children’s movie at the weekend with my godchildren. I love travelling, my favourite place I have been to recently was New York, one day I would love to go on a road trip in the States. I practice yoga as often as I can and love buying funky leggings!

Mrs Hunt - Early Years Support Worker

Hi I am a Early Years Support Worker in Robins and Ducklings and thoroughly enjoy seeing how all children progress in the time they are with us. From their first step of saying goodbye to moving up to BIG Puffins, and all the little steps in between.

I have the NNEB qualification and I did my Foundation Degree whilst working full time in my last job. I then took a few years off (paid) work whilst my children were younger. Whilst off I helped at Drayton school as a parent with different activities, for example I took my (then) new baby in to bath him when my eldest started in Robins, helping with reading, school trips and games.

I am a very proud mum of 3 boys, Samuel is now at secondary school and Alex and Theo are still in Drayton.

In my spare time I am involved in scouting and for the last 3 years have run a beaver colony, I am just moving up to be Akela to run the cub pack where lots from Drayton school come and find very strange to call me by my first name rather than Mrs Hunt!

You’ll probably see me walking around the village walking my dog Barney so please do say “hello”.

Miss Humphreys - Early Years Support Worker

I am an Early Years Support Worker at Drayton Primary School. I have recently finished college with a level 3 diploma in Childcare and Education. I spent my 2nd and final year completing work experience at Drayton school and through this found my love of the setting. In my spare time I love to keep active by attending my local gym and participating in classes such as Zumba and HIIT as well as taking my dog Bill on family walks.  I love working with children and watching them grow to be confident and motivated learners.

Mrs Farrant - Early Years Support Worker

I am an early years support worker in the Ducklings and Robins classes.  For me, it really is the most rewarding job!  I love watching each and every one of them grow and develop in their own special way; some starting from Ducklings then moving onto Robins, watching how confident and happy they become before they move on through the school. I chose a more hands on approach to begin my qualification once I left school and found a job I loved, working with children ages ranging from 6weeks old to 5 years and worked full time while doing my qualifications.  I joined Drayton Primary School in 2020.

I am very lucky to have 2 beautiful children of my own. My son Riley, 7, in year 3 and my daughter Avana, 5.  We are a family of 4 and live just outside Drayton and enjoy spending our weekends together exploring new places.  In my spare time I love to watch my son play football and my daughter do gymnastics & dance.  I also like to visit and see family regularly and go out with friends.
