2016 Assessment

 

The tests undertaken by Y6 children nationally in May 2016, which are sometimes called SATs, were the first to reflect the 2014 national curriculum. This curriculum expects children to acquire skills and knowledge at a much faster rate.

 

Therefore, the tests the 2015-16 Y6 cohort sat were considerably more complex than in previous years.
