Information Sharing

Drayton Community Primary School collects and holds information on our pupils. For example, a pupil's date of birth, address, contact and assessment information. This information is held securely in school. 

 

Drayton Community Primary School is a data controller for the purposes of the Data Protection Act. We collect information from Parents/Guardians and may receive information about about pupils from their previous school(s). When a child transfers we provide the new setting with information in relation to the pupil. 

 

We use this personal data to:

 

  • Support teaching and learning;
  • Monitor and report on a pupil's progress;
  • Provide appropriate pastoral care

 

We will not give information about any of our families to anyone outside the school without their consent unless the law allows us to.

 

We are required by law to pass some information about pupils  to the Local Authority and the Department for Education (DfE).
